High Point Soldier Dies On Nazi Front 1945

High Point. March 16-Pfc. Wayne C. Greene, husband of Mrs. Louise Mckinney Greene, 207 Guilford Avenue, died in action in Belgium January 9, according to word received by his his wife. He was previously reported missing in action. He entered the service in March 1943, and went overseas in July 1944. He is a son of Mr and Mrs. J.A. Greene, who reside in Roanoke Rapids. He is survived  also by three brothers S2cHerbert Greene, Pvt Clyde Greene and Llyod Greene, and a sister, Mrs. Oscar Smith, all of High Point.
